Classic WoW. This was one of my favorite fan-made videos back then. Watched it to death. I loved the music selection!

Taken by me. Please don’t use it without my knowledge!

World of WarCraft.

Artharion the Priest (one of my best friends in real life) and Kerinu the Huntress (me) questing in Un’goro Crater, between Tanaris and Silithus.

Artharion and Kerinu were our dedicated “alts” after migrating to Maelstrom, a new “RP-PvP” server at the time. Our first characters were Ulthware the Druid and Redwense the Rogue on Argent Dawn, a “RP” server, for a couple of years. I can’t seem to find my (literally) thousands of screenshots and videos from those days. God I miss them. We used to role-play everyday with “The Sixth Order”, a guild of eccentric people we met online. It was a fortunate twist of fate, because the guild leader happened to be my former guild leader when I used to play Lineage II.

It proved to be one of my most memorable gaming experiences, “living” in the World of WarCraft. Stories created by players evolved daily, coinciding with real events from WarCraft lore. Events were held to solidify the role-playing community. Relationships were formed, and rivals were made. Some players became “household” names, and they were talked about over virtual drinks in taverns such as the “Lion’s Pride Inn” of Goldshire. (The inn was later on turned into a strip club by “griefers”, featuring Night Elves, much to our dismay.)

I used to quest, explore, raid, craft, fish, mine, cultivate, swim, fly… live… with others who truly made it a point to immerse themselves deeply into a world that was so creatively constructed. It was during these years that I further developed my interest in photography, writing, role-playing, and movie-making. Best of all, I wasn’t alone. Thanks to my friend, Lance Tan, I was able to explore Azeroth and Kalimdor and leave each region with stories to tell and memories to keep. They were no longer virtual items to consider, but authentic experiences in becoming realistically involved and emotionally moved by events themselves and the sharing of them.

Some people may say that we took the game too far, but it had been our imagination that yearned to express itself and grow in light of an interactive form of art, along with thousands of other players in one persistent world. The feeling of playing as heroes and villains in an alternate universe brought back memories of days when we used to role-play in the playground of our village, with plastic swords and little castles that seemed the world to us.

Welcome to "The Station Between Two Worlds". Views from real and cyber space.

My friends know that I like taking photos with my dSLR, and that I like to envision movies and write stories whenever I can. Many of them don’t know how it all started though.

Gaming. Ever since I discovered how to take screenshots of those special moments in cyber space, my imagination only went wilder. And it was a good thing.

So here I am, trying to capture my experiences in two worlds, and share them so that others may experience them too.

I hope you enjoy the random things I have to share, for whatever they’re worth.
